Peter Southwell-Keely has produced a highly enjoyable read with a very balanced approach especially when one considers the enormous breadth and depth of the subject matter.
He has rightfully been showered with praise and the Society is absolutely delighted. Beautifully presented with masses of appropriate photographs it is a delight and provides an instant gift solution for any snow sport enthusiast.
This book is a history of the development of the resorts and other huts along the section of Kosciuszko Road which begins at the Thredbo River and finsihes at the summit of Mt Kosciuszko.
Thus it includes The Creel, Wilson’s Valley, The Hotel Kosciuszko, Smiggin Holes, Perisher Valley, Blue Cow, the Skitube, Guthega, Betts Camp and the Chalet at Charlotte Pass.
It also takes in the huts along the southern part of the Main Range. As these were not far from the Kosciuszko Road.
